Death

Chuck Schuldiner was born on Long Island, on May 13, 1967. The son of Jewish parents, his family moved to Florida the following year of his birth. Schuldiner had a brother (Frank) and sister (Bethann), both older than him.

Chuck began playing at nine years old. His brother, 16 years had suffered a fatal accident, so his parents bought a guitar to Chuck, as a consolation. Took classical guitar lessons for less than a year, however, did not like them, and decided to stop. His parents then bought a guitar and gave him a gift, and that's when Chuck fell in love. He won an amplifier and hooked on the instrument, not stopping to play and write songs for a single day.

It was very inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Kiss and Billy Idol, among others. He was a big fan of the NWOBHM movement and their favorite bands were of that style. Slayer, Possessed and Metallica are just examples of influences that Chuck has spent more in his own band, though his mother heard Chuck say that all types of music except country and rap.
