Moonspell

Moonspell is a metal band formed in Portugal, initially as "Morbid God" in 1989, and had as members Fernando Ribeiro Gaspar on vocals and Mike on drums, plus two other members.
In 1992 the band changed their name to Moonspell. In 1993 they recorded the demo Anno Satanae, which secured a contract with the French publisher Adipocere to record a mini-CD that was released a year later under the name Under the Moonspell. In 1995, already at Century Media, released its first CD, entitled Wolfheart. In the Moonspell cd broke with his old style, black metal, to produce a cd with gothic influences of folk and black metal. The album was a success, and finally put the Moonspell in the international metal scene. The album that followed, Irreligious, was released in 1996, whose single, Opium (music inspired by the poem Opiário Álvaro de Campos, heteronym Fernando Pessoa), remains one of the best-known songs from Moonspell. In 1998 he launched the Sin / Pecado, such as electronic elements being added to the band's sound, a beautiful and experimental work then (1999) come to The Butterfly Effect, further increasing this aspect experimental / electronic. In 2001, the album Darkness and Hope appears with a gothic sound, acclaimed by fans, who then would be thrilled with The Antidote (2003), more aggressive album, but maintaining the characteristic of the band and held by some fans as the best album. In 2006 comes the hitherto considered the band's best album, 'Memorial', which reached the top Portuguese in the first week that was for sale, going to the first position.Adjuvanted by the success of the last album, the Moonspell in November 2006 won the award for Best Portuguese Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards! In 2008, they launched the album is perhaps the most brutal and most mature of the band: 'Night Eternal', which includes the participation of the beautiful voice of Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering, Agua De Annique) in the song "Scorpion Flower

Ea

Ea - unknown funeral doom metal band. Ea’s lyrics are written in a dead language which was recreated according to the results of archeological study and their concept is based on the sacral texts of ancient civilizations. Not to be confused with polish drone/ambient band with the same name.
The third album of this enigmatic band combines the conceptions laid in their previous albums: exalted lightness of Ea Taesse and severe darkness of II. Unique atmosphere of Ea fuses epic funeral doom with atmospheric ambient adding touch of classical music to the work’s canvas.

Melancholic piano, beautiful guitar solos and choirs create a monumental memorial to ancient civilizations bringing their echoes in enchanting Ea music.
The epilogue of Ea trilogy is the start of the path to the roots of the World.

As Autumn Calls

As Autumn Calls is a melodic death doom metal band that was formed in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada in 2005. After 3 years of writing together the band recorded their first full length album titled An Autumn Departure. The album contained 10 tracks of depressing death doom but was never released.
In the spring of 2009 As Autumn Calls began writing and recording a three song EP titled Emotionless. Emotionless saw the band move towards a darker, bleaker sound. The EP was recorded and mixed by As Autumn Calls and mastered by Sardonic Moon Studio in Sudbury, ON. The album was self-released in December 2009 as a professional CD-R.
During the spring of 2010 the band signed with Naturmacht Productions to release a full length album for 2011. In the summer of 2010 the band welcomed drummer Darren (Finnr's Cane, Wolven Ancestry) to the line-up. During this time the band also re-recorded An Autumn Departure and released it through The Northern Cold Productions as a limited edition cassette in March 2011. An Autumn Departure was also released on CD with all new album artwork in May 2011 through Naturmacht Productions.
The band is currently working on a full length album titled Cold, Black & Everlasting which expands on the dark, bleak sound of the Emotionless EP. No release date set.

Death

Chuck Schuldiner was born on Long Island, on May 13, 1967. The son of Jewish parents, his family moved to Florida the following year of his birth. Schuldiner had a brother (Frank) and sister (Bethann), both older than him.

Chuck began playing at nine years old. His brother, 16 years had suffered a fatal accident, so his parents bought a guitar to Chuck, as a consolation. Took classical guitar lessons for less than a year, however, did not like them, and decided to stop. His parents then bought a guitar and gave him a gift, and that's when Chuck fell in love. He won an amplifier and hooked on the instrument, not stopping to play and write songs for a single day.

It was very inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Kiss and Billy Idol, among others. He was a big fan of the NWOBHM movement and their favorite bands were of that style. Slayer, Possessed and Metallica are just examples of influences that Chuck has spent more in his own band, though his mother heard Chuck say that all types of music except country and rap.

Venom

If it were not for Venom, definitely do not hear many of today's metal bands of today. Many musicians have declared, as the James Hetfield of Metallica, which Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon were his biggest influences. The band, which started in the '80s, pioneered satanic lyrics and the visual used by many extreme metal musicians today. The very appearance of the name is credited to the Black Metal Venom, when the song was released the same name. Along with Hellhammer / Celtic Frost and Btahory, Venom began the scene by both the extreme weight of his sound as for their influence on bands that were born.
For Brazil the band had a great importance since the show Venom in 86 is considered one of the first metal shows (the first heavy metal), giving us a push in the metal scene.
Few groups have a history as rich as the Venom. An unassuming trio that became an icon for at least two generations of metal and for almost all followers of extreme music.

In 1982 the band released the masterpiece Black Metal, which gave a final name to a style that had just been invented. You could say that this is the most important album in the history of style, a source of inspiration today.

Burzum

(Count Grishnackh) is a singer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drummer, writer and founder of the black metal band, Burzum.
The one is Burzum black metal band of Varg Vikernes (Count or Grishnackh), in which he plays all the instruments. Only the Aske EP 1993 that was attended Vikernes Samoth of - part of the band Emperor - on bass. In 1991 came the first demonstration of Burzum, and in 1992, a self-titled album was released by the label Burzum Deathlike Silence Euronymous (leader of Mayhem). The band's name, and the name "Grishnackh" were taken from the book of fantastic adventure "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien. "Burzum" is one of the words that are written in Black Speech on the Ring of Sauron, the last sentence is "ash agh burzum ishi nazg durbabatuluk krimpatul" which means "one ring to attract all of them and unite them through the darkness." Burzum would be "dark"
At first, Burzum was called Uruk-Hai and had some friends of Varg Vikernes. The project was abandoned because Varg up on guitar in the black metal band Old Funeral. Vikernes came back with the Uruk-Hai, but "It was a new beginning, so I needed a new name," was renamed to Burzum. It appeared as black metal, but Varg was never a Satanist and showed no satanic thoughts, ideas had only anti-Christian (Varg rejects the Judeo-Christian religions) and paganism. Paganism was directly related to the cultural roots Nordic in general, as the mythology and history. But the gap caused by ideological dualism that was increasing every album released, and from his last album entitled "Daudi Baldrs" (1997) and "Hlidskjalf" (1999) Burzum ceased to be part of Black Metal, both in the selected theme and musically, it replaced all the old instruments for only a keyboard and making a style of music called Ambient - Dead Can Dance is one of the inspirations for this distance and instruments like the electric guitar for "security reasons".
He was not interested in Satanism or other "creations Christian," but by the Norse gods and the "rediscovery of the true Norwegian race and culture." Thus, the creator of Burzum abandoned the anti-Christian themes and self-claimed to be a Viking, defending the very ideas that enhance the Nordic race. His pride and adoration for Nordic culture were so many that it was inevitable rapprochement with Nazism, but Varg is not a Nazi.

In 1993 Varg Vikernes stabbed Euronymous kills, and fellow member of the band Mayhem in parts because Euronymous was the envy of Varg for stealing his space in the black metal scene Vikernes and expose their lies, but he did not think about killing Aarseth but the contrary, was in a position of self-defense. In 1999 Varg Vikernes confirms the end of your project, Burzum and ends. On May 22, 2009 (Ten years have confirmed the end of Burzum), Varg Vikernes leave prison and start recording another album. Initially the name of this album would be "Den Hvítá Guden," but Varg chose to change the title to Belus. The Burzum reborn in March 8, 2010 with the album expected Belus, after 11 years, with the sound like Hvis Lyset Tar Oss and Philosophy. The album has no religi
ous conten.
