Bethlehem is a German band from Grevenbroich.
The band was founded in 1991 by Bartsch and Klaus Matton. The name of the sub-genre Dark metal is derived from the eponymous debut album the band released in 1994, considered the first milestone in style.
The compositions are morbid and almost exclusively linked to suicide.
